595544 Disclosed is an anchoring system which includes an anchor apparatus for anchoring a load connected to an elongate member to a part of a building or structure. The anchoring apparatus has an anchor post which is adapted to be assembled by being connectable to and supportable by a structural member of a building at a joint including a purlin with a web, flanges, and sides, and a bracing member with a web, flanges, ends and sides and being connected between two purlins. The anchor post includes an upright member with ends, a base plate, a cleat located at one end of the anchor post and holding means located at an opposite end of the anchor post. The cleat is oriented at right angles to the base plate and each of the cleat and the base are planar members having planar surfaces defining a plane oriented in the same direction. In use the holding means is adapted to enable removable holding of the elongate member. The anchor post is connectable to one side of a first purlin and to one end of a first bracing member. The cleat is attachable to one end of the first bracing member and the base plate is attachable to a purlin. The cleat protrudes from and outwardly away from the upright member. |
