POLYMER-SILICA COATED AU-GD NANOPARTICLES AND CT/MRI BIMODAL CONTRAST AGENT

The present invention relates to polymer-silica coated Au-Gd nanoparticles and a CT/MRI bimodal contrast agent including the same, and more specifically, to polymer-silica coated Au-Gd nanoparticles and a CT/MRI bimodal contrast agent including the same, wherein a hydrophilic polymer is coated on the Au-Gd nanoparticles which are formed by combining silica coated Au nanoparticles with Gd nanoparticles. According to the present invention, a contrast agent with reduced cohesion and increased water solubility using Au-Gd nanoparticles which have a core-shell structure by being coated with silica and polymer, respectively. Particularly, the contrast agent can be usefully used as a CT/MR bimodal imaging probe by including Au-Gd nanoparticles.
