The present invention relates to a waste heat recovery apparatus for a ship, which comprises: a heat absorbing unit including a heat absorbing part for recovering heat generated by an engine and a cooling part for cooling the engine; a first supply line through which a heat medium, which has heat exchanged in the heat absorbing part, flows; a waste heat recovery unit which communicates with the first supply line, and includes a first heat exchanger absorbing the heat recovered by the heat medium; a cooling water circulation line including a cooling water supply line through which the heat medium, which flows into the cooling part, flows and a cooling water discharging line for discharging the heat medium which passes through the cooling part; a waste heat recovery line which has one end connected to the cooling water circulation line and the other end connected to the heat absorbing part and which supplies a part of the heat medium, which flows through the cooling water discharging line, to the heat recovery unit; and a second supply line which has one end connected to the first heat exchanger and the other end connected to the cooling water supply line and which makes the heat medium, which is discharged from the first heat exchanger, flow through the cooling water supply line.
