The present invention relates to a mat composition and a method for manufacturing a mat using the same composition; and more specifically, the present invention relates to a mat composition composed of a thermoplastic resin, regenerated rubber powder and an inorganic filler; and a method for manufacturing a mat using the same composition comprising: a raw material input step for inputting 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin, 40 to 95 parts by weight of the regenerated rubber powder and 3 to 10 parts by weight of the inorganic filler into an extruder having 8 to 16 screws inserted therein, wherein the ratio of the length of holes to the diameter of the holes is 6:1; an extrusion step for extruding the raw materials, which have been input through the raw material input step, to a thickness of 5 to 15 mm; and a fiber layer stacking step for stacking a fiber layer on the top surface of a mat layer manufactured through the extrusion step. The mat composition having the above-mentioned components and manufactured through the above-mentioned steps and the mat using the same composition are eco-friendly and manufactured at low costs because a regenerated rubber powder is used. Also, the mat composition and the mat using the same composition have excellent abrasion resistance, lightness and elasticity.
