[Also in Group XIX] In an arrangement for counting separately the number of pulses on a plurality of input leads in which a common memory device stores all the count totals (see Group XIX), a pulse on an input lead fires a normally cut-off gas discharge diode 131. A scanning arrangement for the various diodes 131, which are arranged in a circle, comprises a photo-cell 132 attached to a rotating shaft 1, incidence of light on the photo-cell causing an output pulse over brushes 136, the output pulse being transmitted to the appropriate part of the common memory device. After scanning, the diodes are cut off by a short circuit. |
