The present invention provides a streptochlorin derivative having a structure of chemical formula 1 and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same as an active ingredient for prevention and treatment of cancer. In chemical formula 1, R_1 is H, halogen, CN, C_1-C_3 alkyl, or C_1-C_3 alkoxy; R_2 is C_1-C_5 alkyl, C_1-C_5 haloalkyl, C_5-C_10 aryl, or C_5-C_10 aralkyl; and R_3 is H, halogen, CN, C_1-C_5 alkyl, or C_5-C_10 aryl.
