<p>Provided is a dust collecting unit that, without increasing the size of the structure, ensures the opening surface-area of a suction port and an exhaust port from a dust cup. The dust collecting unit is characterized by the following: being provided with a dust cup (501) formed in a tubular shape with a bottom part and having an opening part facing the bottom part and an air flow inlet in the tubular shape peripheral surface, and a cup cover unit (570) covering the opening part of the dust cup and having an air flow outlet; the cup cover unit having a cup cover main body (573), a cup cover handle (591) provided on the upper part of the cup cover main body, and an opening/closing mechanism (577) that opens and closes the cup cover handle around a predetermined opening/closing shaft and that biases the cup cover handle in the direction in which the cup cover handle closes; the opening closing mechanism having a first linking lever (593) provided to the lower part of the cup cover handle, a second linking lever (577a) provided so as to be slidable with respect to the cup cover main body in the opening/closing shaft direction, and a biasing member (577b) that biases the second linking lever in that sliding direction; and the first linking lever having a configuration in which the force for biasing the second linking lever in the sliding direction is converted into the force for biasing the cup cover handle in the direction in which the cup cover handle closes.</p> |
