The apparatus (1) has a pump (12) evacuating air from a treatment bag (6). A spacer (3) introduces carbon dioxide into the treatment bag. Two-piece clutches (4, 5) are adapted for attaching the spacer to the treatment bag by a wall that is located between the clutches. A piercing element is adapted for piercing the bag wall and projected into the clutches. Screw threads are adapted for bolting the clutches. The spacer is placed above a shutoff valve (10) i.e. stopcock, that is attached to the clutches.
