Provided is a method for manufacturing a display device. The method for manufacturing the display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a carrier substrate including a surface processed area; putting a motherboard on the carrier substrate; performing the process of forming a thin film on the motherboard; and separating the carrier substrate from the motherboard as regarding the surface processed area as an initial point.
