PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve optimization of a reception condition of a broadcast signal and speed of followability to an optimum reception condition.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device 1 allows a tuner device 3 to firstly select a frequency range which is previously specified for a channel number that a user desires to view. When a reception level of a broadcast signal when a specified frequency range is selected is defective, the tuner device 3 is allowed to select a frequency range deviated from the specified frequency range. The semiconductor device 1 gradually increases a deviation amount from the specified frequency range while the reception level of the broadcast signal during channel selection is defective.
