Provided is a front glass for a vehicle that can reduce the chances of fogging due to having anti-fog properties, and that in fogged conditions can notify a driver of fogged conditions in the initial stages in a simple and accurate manner without affecting visibility. A front glass for a vehicle is provided with a window glass, a belt-shaped black ceramic layer formed in the peripheral edge of the window glass, and a water-absorbing anti-fog film provided so as to lie within the region where the black ceramic layer is formed, the end of the film being farther inward in the vehicle-interior side surface of the window glass than the end of the window glass. The water-absorbing anti-fog film has a maximum film thickness in a range of 30 to 70% of the minimum film thickness in both the outside of the visual region where the driver's field of vision is ensured in the front glass for a vehicle and the inside of the region where the black ceramic layer is formed, and the water-absorbing anti-fog film has a thin-film region large enough to be recognized by the driver during fogging. |
