A method for constructing a ship according to an embodiment of the present invention, includes: a step of assembling a compressor room on a surface plate; a step of working on the designs of the compressor room; and conveying the compressor room, finished with the design work, to a pre-erection (PE) plant. The method for constructing a ship according to the present invention is provided with the compressor room arranged on the surface plate. Therefore, the conveyance by a transporter can be facilitated, and the compressor room can be assembled and conducted with design works in a stocking plant, so as to reduce the man-hours of the PE plant, and increase the rotation rates of the PE plant.
