<p>A display device according to the present invention includes a display part which includes pixels having an organic light emitting diode device, a power supply part which supplies power to the display part, an image processing part which can process an input image to display it in the display part, and a control part which determines whether the average brightness level of the input image is higher than a preset value or not, controls the image processing part to compensate the gray scale of the input image in order to increase the brightness of the input image, and controls the power supply part to reduce power supply according to the brightness increased by the compensated gray scale. Thereby, power consumption can be reduced by reducing power supply according to the brightness increased by the gray scale of the input image.
