The invention relates to a ventilation device for fuel tanks (1) pertaining to motor vehicles (3), said device comprising a filler neck (3) and a ventilation valve (2). A ventilation line (4) is provided as a recirculation line (4) between the ventilation valve (2) and the filler neck (3), said ventilation line preventing an excessive inflow of fresh air as a result of the suction jet effect during refuelling. Said recirculation line also comprises a needle-float valve (5) which varies the flow cross-section of the ventilation line (4).
