PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery exhibiting excellent cycle stability without generating gas.SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising: a negative electrode; a positive electrode; a separator; and a nonaqueous electrolyte, an aromatic alcohol adsorbs on at least a part of the surface of a negative electrode active material constituting the negative electrode. The negative electrode active material preferably contains 0.001 pt.wt. or more and 1.0 pt.wt. or less of the aromatic alcohol per 100 pts.wt. of the negative electrode active material. |
