PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating apparatus which facilitates temperature rise in a central part while suppressing overheating in edge parts, and improves temperature distribution homogeneity and heating efficiency.SOLUTION: An induction heating apparatus 101 comprises: a core 10 having a pair of magnetic poles 15, 16, for transferring a magnetic field; a coli 20 for generating a magnetic filed; conductors 311-314 arranged on right and left sides of and adjacent to the magnetic poles 15, 16 of the core 10; and lateral magnetic substances 41, 42 which are formed from magnetic materials and arranged outside edge parts 61, 69 of a heating object 60 and along the edge parts 61, 69. The conductors 311-314 block a magnetic field from detouring from a central part 65 to the edge parts 61, 69 of the heating object 60 to concentrate the magnetic filed on the central part 65 thereby to facilitate temperature rise. The lateral magnetic substances 41, 42 conduct the magnetic field flowing from one main plate surface 601 to the other main plate surface 602 through the edge parts 61, 69 to relax a density of magnetic fluxes at the edge parts 61, 69 thereby to suppress overheating. |
