A screen assembly, to which a vibratory or oscillatory motion is imparted, includes a frame 10 over which a wire mesh screen 11 is stretched and secured by spring clips 12 engaging the flanges 15 of the frame and having upstanding yieldable finger portions 20 which pass through holes in the screen edges. The holes are provided by grommets 32 in a plastic edging 31. Each clip has a part 22 which snaps over a flange bead 18, and in the unloaded position the clip has the shape shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2. Clips with single and double coil torsion springs are described. Two or more such screen assemblies may be situated in a single housing to provide multiple grading. |
