The invention relates to a data transmission device for establishing a data connection between two coupleable vehicle units (10, 12) of a vehicle combination (14), in particular a combination of rail vehicles for passenger transport, having a first interface (22) which is associated with a first vehicle unit (10) and provided, in the coupled state, with a second vehicle unit (12) for establishing the data connection by a connection (28) to a second interface (24) which is associated with the second vehicle unit (12). In order to provide a data transmission device according to the preamble, in which a data connection having a high transmission rate can be achieved between two coupled vehicle units by means of a simple construction and inexpensively, according to the invention the connection (28) comprises, in the coupled state, a set of strands which are provided by means of at least two cables (36, 38). |
