<p>The invention relates to a device for taking and processing a stool sample or food sample in order to qualitatively and quantitatively determine substances contained in said sample, said device comprising a sampling rod (11) having a sampling structure formed as sampling chamber (16) for accommodating a certain sample amount and comprising an accommodating tube (1), which accommodates the sampling rod (11) and which has a liquid-filled mixing chamber (19) for preserving, dissolving, and processing the sample contained in the sampling chamber (16). The sampling rod (11) is designed as a tube-like hollow body that is open at both ends and that has an ejecting plunger (18) guided in the hollow body in a movable and sealing manner for ejecting the sample from the sampling chamber (16), which is designed as a capillary tube at the free end of the sampling rod (11), into the liquid-filled mixing chamber (19). In particular a very solid sample located in the mixing chamber after the ejection can be dissolved quickly and completely in the liquid, such that reliable results can be achieved on the basis of a defined sample amount in the subsequent qualitative and quantitative examination of the same sample. The design of the sampling chamber as a narrow capillary tube also makes it possible to reliably take samples of a certain amount from a soft to liquid sample material due to the capillary forces.</p> |
