PURPOSE: A boron removal method in seawater by using mineral clusters is provided to offer the high removal rate of boron without using expansive ion exchange resins, using the mineral clusters as a coagulant. CONSTITUTION: A boron removal method in seawater by mineral clusters includes the following steps; mneral cluster is produced from natural mineral; the pH is controlled by mixing the mineral clusters and seawater; and a reverse osmosis process is conducted using a reverse osmosis film in the seawater after the pH controlling step. The natural minerals in the mineral cluster producing step are illite, biotite, paragonite, phlogopite or lepidolite. The ratio of the mineral clusters and seawater in the pH controlling step is 1:100-1:1,000. The pH of the pH controlling step is 6.0-11. |
