The present invention relates to a stand type steam iron, and the purpose of the present invention is to prevent short circuits of a power part and corrosion of a metal structure due to the inflow of steam condensate water generated during the use of an steam iron. For achieving this, the present invention provides a stand type steam iron comprising: an iron body (10) having a water case storage part in which a water case (50) is received and stored; a steam hose for guiding steam heated in the iron body (10); a steam head having a plurality of steam holes for spouting the steam guided through the steam hose to the outside; a hose coupling element (30) provided at the iron body (10) to perform the coupling of the steam hose; a stand inserted into and erected on an upper portion of the iron body (10); and a stand support element (40) provided at the iron body (10) to support the stand. In addition, a power switch (20) for controlling power on/off is provided on a front surface of the iron body (10). The hose coupling element is disposed above the power switch (20), and a guide protrusion (11) for guiding steam condensate water protrudes around the power switch (20) to prevent the inflow of the steam condensate water which flows down through the hose coupling element (30). A male screw part (42) for coupling the stand support element (40) to a lower end portion of the stand is provided at the stand support element (40). A female screw part is provide at the lower end portion of the stand corresponding to the male screw part (42). |
