A single-control mixing cartridge for faucets comprises a fixed bottom plate associated with a movable top plate; the fixed bottom plate comprising differently contoured asymmetrical hot water and cold water ports. The mixing cartridge provides a mixing rotary movement which is symmetrical on the hot water side and on the cold water side, but, at a central position thereof, delivers only cold water through partial openings. A main advantage of the inventive cartridge is that it provides the above functional features by a very simple and reliable cartridge construction. |
