A furniture unit comprises shelves 10, 12, 14 spaced apart by vertical rods 16 and vertical hollow walls 22. The walls 22 are constructed of four frame members and two panel pieces constituting opposite sides of the walls, the upper and lower frame members having pairs of aligned holes for the reception of the rods. The shelves have semicircular grooves 20 at their edges and the free ends of the shelves have clamps 18 screwed to them so that they are flush with the outer surface of the walls 22. |
