PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a parking target position from getting too close to any other vehicle when, for example, both a parking enabling space and parking division line are detected.SOLUTION: A parking support system of an embodiment includes an area detection unit that detects a parking enabling area in which a vehicle can be parked, a line detection unit that detects a parking division line marked on a running surface, and a target position calculation unit that when the parking enabling area is detected by the area detection unit, the parking division line is detected by the line detection unit, and the parking division line exists outside the parking enabling area, calculates a parking target position using the result of detection of the parking enabling area by the area detection unit. |
