A method for transmitting a consecutive pilot subcarrier wave in an OFDM system is provided to improve performance of a system by maintaining a time interval and a frequency interval into a fixed interval. A pilot subcarrier wave is transmitted through a consecutive base unit of an uplink. Four pilot subcarrier waves are arranged in a different position of a frequency axis in the base unit. Data subcarrier waves are arranged in a rest position of the base unit. The base unit is transmitted to a receiving end. The base unit is formed as a unit of four subcarrier waves into the frequency axis, and is formed as an OFDM symbol unit more than six into the time axis. Each pair of the four pilot subcarrier waves is arranged in the same position of the time axis. |
