PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform leveling of flat parts, slope faces, and shoulder sections of a road by providing one or several plates connected to a lower edge of a side plate and making the feature of the plates variable by means of a linkage mechanism.SOLUTION: A variable side plate of an asphalt finisher is comprised of: a side plate of the uppermost state provided in a vertical direction on the outside of an expansion screed and including upper and lower position adjustment devices; and one or several plates connected to the lower edge of the side plate. Each of the side plate of the uppermost state and the one or several plates is provided with a linkage mechanism which can be varied to a vertical, horizontal, or inclined shape in response to the end edge part or slope face part of a paved road. |
