PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member which has such a simple structure that an adhesive is unnecessary, therefore, is easily manufactured, does not require another member upon attachment and is not broken for a fastening torque and to provide a method of manufacturing the seal member.SOLUTION: A seal member 1 is made by holding a resin seal member 2 concentrically between two metal retention plates 3, 3' and, therein, the metal retention plates 3, 3' and the resin seal member 2 have a hollow disk shape, an outer diameter size of the resin seal member 2 is larger than the outer diameter size of the metal retention plates 3, 3', each of two metal retention plates 3, 3' has a protruded part 4 on one side plate surface and has a recessed part 5 on the other side plate surface, the protruded part 4 on one side metal retention plate is fitted to the recessed part 5 on the other side metal retention plate while holding the resin seal member 2 between the protruded part 4 and the recessed part 5 or penetrating the resin seal member 2 and the metal retention plates 3, 3' and the resin seal member 2 are integrated. |
