PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer shape measuring apparatus capable of measuring the outer shape of a measuring object with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An outer shape measuring apparatus includes: a first calibration plate 17a that is fixed onto a first chuck 16a and has a first insertion hole for inserting a first end part; a second calibration plate 17b that is fixed onto a second chuck 16b and has a second insertion hole for inserting a second end part; a laser displacement meter 19a that is disposed at the side of a measuring object, being movable along the rotation shaft of the first chuck 16a, and being capable of measuring the position of the first calibration plate 17a, second calibration plate 17b, and measuring object rotating about the rotation shaft; and an optical axis calibration value calculation part for calculating first and second optical axis calibration values based on measurement value data by each laser displacement meter of the first and second calibration plates and design value data. The outer shape measuring apparatus measures the outer shape of the measuring object by calibrating the measurement value data of the measuring object by the laser displacement meter based on the first and second optical axis calibration values. |
