PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaving cutter capable of heightening the original cutting efficiency of a blade tool, preventing wear of the blade tool due to fitting, restraining a wear range of a processing surface and forming a uniform tooth trace.SOLUTION: A shaving cutter 10 includes a plurality of serration teeth for finishing a tooth flank of a work 11 (a gear). As an array of a cutting blade 12 of the serration tooth, the processing region of the cutting blade 12 at the (n+1)th does not overlap the processing area of the cutting blade 12 at the n-th for one tooth of the work 11. The processing area of the cutting blade 12 at the (n+2)th partly overlaps the processing area of the cutting blade 12 at the n-th. |
