PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a water level of water supply with good accuracy by correction.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: a washing tub 3 rotatably provided in an outer tub 1; a motor 6 for rotationally driving the washing tub 3; a water supply valve 9 for supplying water to the outer tub 1; water level detection means 10 for detecting pressure inside an air trap 11 for communicating with the outer tub 1, and for outputting a signal of frequency corresponding to the water level supplied to the outer tub 1; and control means 14 for controlling the water supply valve 9 and the motor 6, and for controlling a series of steps of washing, rinsing and dewatering sequentially. The control means 14 detects the water level by the output of the signal by the water level detection means 10, performs a tub rotation in a state where the water is being supplied to the outer tub 1 during the washing step and the rinsing step and corrects the water level based on a difference between the output of the water level detection means 10 before the tub rotation and the output of the water level detection means 10 after the tub rotation. Thereby, the water level can be detected with good accuracy by correcting the occurrence of dispersion in the water level caused by water coming into the air trap and by correcting the occurrence of variations in the water level during a step. |
