PURPOSE: A desalinizing method of salt water and a desalination apparatus are provided to reduce the energy consumption in comparison with the conventional desalinization process. CONSTITUTION: A desalinizing method of salt water comprises the following steps: locating salt water in a salt water space inside an osmosis reactor and locating an inducing solution containing an inducing solute in an osmosis inducing solution space, for conducting an osmosis process to transfer water from the salt water into the osmosis inducing solution space (S10); cooling the inducing solution after the osmosis for segregating parts of the inducing solute (S20); and conducting the reverse osmosis to the inducing solution for producing fresh water (S30).
