PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an end part of a long and fragile article from a large shock caused by the fall of the article.SOLUTION: A corrugated board cushioning material comprises an outer cylinder part 2 and an inner cylinder part 3 for forming a square cylinder body 1 and an end wall part 4 for blocking up one end, and is formed by folding and overlapping the outer cylinder part 2 and the inner cylinder part 3 connected at an opening end and folding the cylinder parts along a ridge-line. In order to constitute the end wall part 4, an outer end wall 19 is formed by bending a part extending from the outer cylinder part 2; an inner end plate 12 extending from the inner cylinder part 3 and an inner end plate 11 extending from its opposed part, are overlapped on the inside of the outer end wall 19; and a projection piece 13 provided in the inner cylinder part 3 is engaged with a notch part 14 inside the outer end wall 19. Shock to a an article is absorbed by a laminate structure of the end wall part 4, and the article is pulled and held in the inverse direction of the falling direction by a hanging structure of the inner end plates 11 and 12. Shape retention is improved by engagement between the projection piece 13 of an inside plate and the notch part 14 of the outer end wall 19, to prevent the situation where the corrugated board is broken at a bending part to lose the hanging structure. |
