PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal type flow meter whose measuring accuracy and reliability are improved by surely ventilating the inside of a gap formed on the rear surface of a flow rate detection element.SOLUTION: A thermal type flow meter 300 includes a flow rate detection part 602 for measuring the flow rate of a measured gas 30 by transferring heat between a sub passage for flowing the measured gas 30 taken in from a main passage 124 and the measured gas 30 flowing through the sub passage. A gap 674 formed in a flow rate detection element 602 communicates from a ventilation passage 676 to the main passage 124 via at least a terminal housing part 321 and the sub passage 134. |
