The present invention relates to brown rice citron flakes and a method for producing same and, more particularly, brown rice citron flakes and a method for producing same including a material preparation step for preparing brown rice, citron, grain syrup, sugar, and water; a grinding step for grinding the prepared brown rice at least twice; a brown rice popping step for popping the ground brown rice in a popping machine; a crude citron liquid production step for producing a crude citron liquid by extracting the juice of the prepared citron; a coating liquid production step for heating a mixture of the grain syrup, the sugar, and the water, adding the crude citron liquid, and then re-heating the mixture; a brown rice coating step for coating the popped brown rice with the produced coating liquid; and a drying step for drying the coated brown rice. The brown rice citron flakes according to the present invention has an advantage of containing a large amount of active ingredients of brown rice while alleviating the harsh flavor unique to brown rice to facilitate intake by people. Further, the present invention provides another advantage of providing a method for producing the brown rice flakes and the brown rice flakes which make people take active ingredients of citron as well as brown rice at the same time by adding the crude citron liquid, and whose the taste and the fragrance is preferred by people of all genders and ages. In addition, the present invention is also advantageous in that processed food rich in nutrition and capable of replacing a meal is provided for busy modern people.
