PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine controller that early and accurately detects a transient state where the operational state of an engine becomes an acceleration state, properly controls ignition timing in the transient state, and can surely suppress acceleration shock to a vehicle.SOLUTION: An engine controller includes: a transient state determination processing unit 24a that determines whether the operational state of an engine is a transient state where the operation state of the engine transfers to an acceleration state, on the basis of the change amount of a target throttle opening; and a transient state correction processing unit 24b that when the transient state determination processing unit determines that the operational state of the engine is in the transient state, lags ignition timing in a predetermined amount regulated by the change amount. |
