PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber array capable of arranging multiple optical fibers with high density, and easily bonding and fixing them, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An optical fiber array 1 includes: a plurality of optical fibers 4 having a core 41 and a cladding 42; and a holding member 2 having a prismatic holding part 21 for holding the plurality of optical fibers 4 in parallel with each other. In the holding part 21, a plurality of holding grooves 211 extending in the drawing direction of the plurality of optical fibers 4 are formed on at least two surfaces among external surfaces 210 constituting side faces thereof.
