PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of reducing a volume (dead volume) of residue of fuel in a swirl chamber.SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve includes a communication passage communicating a swirl imparting chamber and a downstream opening of a valve seat member. A corner portion 46c of the swirl imparting chamber and a corner portion 45c of the communication passage each have a curved profile in a cross section. When a radius of a corner portion 46d of the swirl imparting chamber and a radius of a corner portion 45d of the communication passage are represented by r1, and when a radius of the corner portion 46c of the swirl imparting chamber 46 and a radius of the corner portion 45c of the communication passage are represented by r2, and when a width of the swirl imparting chamber and a width of the communication passage are represented by w, the swirl imparting chamber and the communication passage are formed to satisfy the equation r2<w/2. |
