PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid work vehicle that enables smooth running for work using a work device with a low-power internal combustion engine while avoiding a battery from running out.SOLUTION: The hybrid work vehicle comprises: a motor generator 4 driven by an internal combustion engine E and a battery B that supply a running device 2 and a work device 9 with driving force through power transmission means 1; a load information production portion 51 for producing load information representing increase in sudden rotation load; an assist characteristic determination portion 52 for determining based on the load information assist characteristics regulating assist value and assist time in an assist control; and a motor control unit 7 controls the motor generator 4 based on the assist characteristics.
