PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a nonaqueous electrolyte, excellent in storage stability, and, when used in an electricity storage device such as a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, forming a stable SEI on a surface of an electrode, thereby improving battery characteristics such as cycle characteristics, charge/discharge capacity and internal resistance, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte containing the additive for a nonaqueous electrolyte and an electricity storage device using the nonaqueous electrolyte.SOLUTION: An additive for a nonaqueous electrolyte comprises an N-aryl carboxylic acid amide compound having a structure represented by the following formula (1) and having an energy of the lowest vacant orbital of less than 0. In the formula (1), Ar represents an aryl group that may be substituted, R represents a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group that may be substituted, or an aryl group that may be substituted, and n represents an integer of 0-6. |
