PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of recording materials that can be processed by binding processing means that performs binding processing to a plurality of recording materials.SOLUTION: When the binding processing is performed to a sheet bundle in an end binding processing function unit 50, if the number of sheets constituting the sheet bundle is large, it becomes difficult that a blade and a punching member penetrate through the sheet bundle. In this case, the binding processing cannot be performed. Therefore, when the number of sheets constituting the sheet bundle is large, punching processing is performed for some sheets by using a punching unit 30. As a result, a load applied from the sheets to the blade and the punching member is reduced, and the blade and the punching member penetrate through the sheet bundle. |
