PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element having uniform and excellent characteristics by using full batch coating, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: An organic EL element includes a substrate, a first electrode formed on the substrate, a partition wall defining the first electrode as a pixel region, and one or a plurality of organic EL layers formed in the pixel region and containing an organic EL material. The partition wall consists of a first partition wall defining a pixel region, and a second partition wall contiguous to the first partition wall and formed to surround a pixel. Film thickness of the second partition wall exists in a plurality of levels within all pixels in the substrate, and the organic EL layer has a concave meniscus shape recessed toward the first electrode. |
