PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a display panel that has spontaneous polarization, in using a liquid crystal element including liquid crystal molecules having polarity and moving on the basis of a cathode drive voltage and anode drive voltage to be applied, can achieve effective use of the drive voltages, and achieves improvement of light transmissivity by maintaining high holding voltage of the liquid crystal element, high luminance, and high contrast.SOLUTION: A driving method of a liquid crystal display device includes the steps of: turning on TFTs of all pixels simultaneously for each frame after the end of a retention period; executing reset voltage application processing to apply a reset voltage for resetting liquid crystal molecules to a stable non-application state to each liquid crystal element; and displays input image data. |
