<p>The medical implant has a shielding element (10) which is transferred from a folded configuration in an unfolded configuration and is formed in a partially unfolded condition. The shielding element has a support structure (11) made from bases (14) and a flexible cover (12) which partially overstretches the support structure. The shielding element is formed in integral, particularly monolithic manner. The supporting structure has a wall thickness which is greater than the wall thickness of the cover. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a medical system with a transport element; and (2) a method for manufacturing an implant.</p>
