The trough (1) has a tub (2) for receiving and transporting bulk material i.e. contaminated soil material. The tub is provided with a covering part (5), and an extraction device (6) extracts the contaminated air and/or volatile gases from a chamber within the tub. The covering part is utilized as tarpaulin e.g. plastic tarpaulin, which is stretched over upper area of the tub. The extraction device comprises a suction aggregate (8) i.e. compressor, and a gas filter (9) i.e. air activated charcoal filter, where cleaned exhaust air is released into an environment (4).
