PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in locking/unlocking and to further improve functionality by making two kinds of radio waves available for a call and a response for ID authentication without incurring a problem of radio interference, in an electric lock.SOLUTION: The electric lock comprises a proximity authentication device and a vicinity authentication device each for replying with ID information as a response wave to a calling radio wave from a calling device. For the calling radio wave and the response wave, two kinds of calling radio waves and response waves in different frequencies are set while defining a radio wave for proximity as a first one and defining a radio wave for vicinity as a second one. While the calling device is in a standby state, the first calling radio wave is periodically outputted to authenticate the proximity authentication device. When it is recognized that the vicinity authentication device is located within an area which is proper for using the second calling radio wave, the first calling radio wave is stopped and the second calling radio wave is outputted. |
