There is described a medical device (10) for insertion into a body comprising: an instrument (12) having an instrument portion (13) at one end, an engagement portion (14a) at an opposing end and a shaft (14) extending between the instrument portion (13) and the engagement portion (14a). A sleeve member (18) is configured to be received over the shaft (14) to engage with the instrument portion (13) at one end thereof and having an end member (17) provided at an opposing end. A sheath member (15) is configured to be received over the sleeve member (18) such that when said sleeve member (18) is engaged with the instrument portion (14a) the sheath member (15) extends between said instrument portion (14a) and the end member (17). The sleeve member (18) and the instrument portion (14a) threadingly engage and the end member (17) is configured to assume a non-circular configuration to facilitate gripping of the end member (17) to enable assembly/disassembly of the device (10).
