PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in editing by facilitating visual check of a cut (copied) or pasted character string.SOLUTION: A portable terminal device includes a display unit (display 11) and an input unit (touch sensor 12). After a portion of a character string displayed on the display unit is cut or copied with the input unit, the portable terminal device 1 can perform editing in which the cut or copied portion is pasted at a predetermined position in a sentence. The portable terminal device 1 also includes a control unit (CPU 100) that, when cutting or copying of a portion of a character string is detected, temporarily displays the cut or copied character string in a display mode different from that for another character string on the display unit. |
