PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber cord for reinforcing a rubber which is improved in its adhesion between the polyester fiber cord and rubber that cannot be achieved by conventional techniques, and is reduced in resin residue occurring when the code and a hose are manufactured to a level not causing any problem in production.SOLUTION: A polyester fiber code for reinforcing a rubber is obtained by coating polyester fibers with a first treatment agent containing at least three types of (A) a polyepoxide compound, (B) a rubber latex and (C) a chloro-modified resorcin, and then coating the resultant fibers with a second treatment agent containing resorcinol-formalin-rubber latex (RFL) as the outer layer. In the polyester fiber, (C) the chloro-modified resorcin contained in the first treatment agent with respect to 100 wt.% of the solid content of the first treatment agent is 0.2 to 10 wt.%. |
