PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time code synchronization device capable of taking time code synchronization in which discontinuity does not occur.SOLUTION: The time code synchronization device includes: a video synchronization signal correction unit (102) for correcting a generation timing of a video synchronization signal separated from a video signal to be recorded so as to be a predetermined position at update timing of an inputted time code when a correction instruction signal is inputted from the outside; a time code reading unit (101) for reading the time code at generation timing of the video synchronization signal corrected by the video synchronization signal correction unit; and a time code setting unit (103) for adding the time code read by the time code reading unit to the video signal to be recorded.
