The present invention relates to a composition for improving blood triglyceride levels, the composition containing, as an active ingredient, 100-5000kDa of molecular weight of a poly-gamma glutamic acid, and more particularly, to a composition for improving blood triglyceride levels, the composition containing, as an active ingredient, 100-5000kDa of molecular weight of a poly-gamma glutamic acid, which inhibits the generation of fat in adipocytes and reduces the expression of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity and adipocyte differentiation-related transcription factors, thereby improving blood triglyceride levels. The composition containing the poly-gamma glutamic acid according to the present invention is not toxic, does not have side effects, and is safe, and thus can be ingested for a long time for the purpose of prevention, and is useful in preventing and treating metabolic diseases caused by triglycerides.
